Well prepared before the trip in the forest
Here you will find the most important information before, during, and after your stay at Trekronå. The detailed road directions to the cabins are sent along with the booking confirmation.
Before Arrival
Here's what you should know before you are traveling
- Check-in is from 15:00.
- It is about 900 meters to walk from the parking lot to the cabins.
- Bring a flashlight or headlamp if you arrive after dark.
- Meals are not served, but both cabins have mini kitchens.
- Pets are not allowed in the cabins.
- The person who orders must be over 20 years old.
- Children must be supervised due to the heights and uneven terrain.
How to get here
By car, train, bike or on foot
Trekronå is located in the pine forest on Ogna, about 25 minutes from Egersund and one hour from Stavanger. There are two parking areas at the starting point for the trail to the cabins.
From Ogna Train Station it takes about 30 minutes to walk. On the way you pass Joker Ogna, where you can buy food and other supplies for your stay.
The path from the parking lot is a paved gravel path that can also be cycled. The final part up to the cabins is steeper.
During the stay
Here's where you'll find it in the cabin
Each cabin has its own bathroom with toilet and shower, piped water and electricity, underfloor heating and Wi-Fi. Towels, hand and shower soap and toilet paper are available.
The mini kitchen has a sink, two cookers, a small fridge, a press coffee maker, pots, frying pan, kitchen utensils and tableware for five people. Coffee, salt, pepper and cooking oil are also available.
Fireplace and Safety
Use the area with consideration
There is a separate fire pit, and firewood is included. Fire may only be lit when conditions allow. All use of fire is prohibited due to the risk of forest fires.
The cabins have been designed by engineers and are equipped with smoke detectors and fire extinguishers. There may be some movement detected by strong winds or activity in the cabin; this is normal for the construction.
Minispa
If the mini spa is booked
The mini spa is used in agreed 30-minute sessions. The schedule is displayed on the board in the sauna dressing room. Please be considerate of the guests in the other cabin and leave the facility ready for the next session.
Check-out
Before you leave Trekronå
Check-out is latest at 11:00 AM. Follow the check-out instructions you receive and leave the cabin and the area in the same good condition as when you arrived. Cleaning is included in the stay.
